Isabel is identified in the will of her father, Rev. Valentine Overton of Bedworth, Warws, 15 Feb 1646/7, proved 30 Aug 1647, P.C.C., 172 Fines (FHL #092165).
MAR: Tarvin par reg by corr, Cheshire Record Office, Chester, 1993. She is also called the wife of Ephraim Huit in her father's will, above.
DEATH: SOME EARLY RECORDS AND DOCUMENTS OF AND RELATING TO THE TOWN OF WINDSOR, "The Matthew Grant Record, usually called The Old Church Record" (Hartford, 1930), 82 (FHL #974.62/W1 N2e). "Mrs. Huiet" died in 1661. Exact date is not given. It is stated that "Mr. Huit" died on 8 Mar 1660 and was buried on the 9th in "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1637-1850," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1929; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 144 (FHL #002983). It is believed, however, that this is a transcription or clerical error for "Mrs." Huit, as Ephraim Huit died in 1644 leaving a widow Isabel, according to his will and probate records.
