- BIRTH: Date and place of birth are approximations. Thomas is, perhaps, the son of Richard and Joan Crackbone of White Notley who quitclaimed a messuage in Chelmsford to John Bolle, et al, in 1483 (R. E. G. Kirk, etal, eds, FEET OF FINES FOR ESSEX, 6 vols. [Colchester, 1899-1993], 4:82 [FHL #942.67 R2g]).
MAR: No mar rec found. See the will of "ffelyce" Crackbone of White Notley, 1 Feb 1558, no probate act, Court of the Bishop of London's Commissary (Essex & Herts Div), orig wills, box 8, #296 (FHL #094350). Felis is styled widow, apparently the widow of Thomas Crackbone, who was bur in White Notley on 25 Feb 1556/7 (the only Crackbone bur in the parish, 1538-58). Moreover, Thomas is the father of John Crackbone, chr at White Notely, 4 Feb 1539/40, who is also identified as a son in the will of Felis Crackbone.
