- BIRTH: Joseph is identified as a brother in the will of Nathaniel Warren of Plymouth, 29 Jun 1667, proved 30 Oct 1667, Plymouth Colony Probate, 2:2:46-47 (FHL #567794). Nathaniel is a proved son of Richard Warren. See settlement of estate of Richard Warren of Plymouth, 11 June 1653, Plymouth Colony Deeds, 2:1:73-75 (FHL #567789). Joseph is shown as the 2nd son of Richard Warren in the cattle division of 22 May 1627 (Nathaniel B. Shurtleff and David Pulsifer, eds, RECORDS OF THE COLONY OF NEW PLYMOUTH, 12 vols. [Boston, 1855-61], 12:12 [FHL #974.4 N2n]). Nathaniel gave his age as 37 "or thereabouts" in deposition of 15 Oct 1661 (Plymouth Colony Deeds, 2:2:56 [FHL #567789]). Hence, he was born abt 1624. Joseph was born after Nathaniel but before the cattle division in 1627.
MAR: No mar rec found. His wife is called Priscilla in his own will, 4 May 1689, proved 4 Sep 1689, Plymouth Co. Probate, 1:38-39 (FHL #550708). In the same document he instructs his "brother" Thomas Faunce to assist his wife with the execution of his will. 1st child born 1653.
