- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Henry is listed with other proved sons of Henry Adams as "Henry Adams, Junior" in a petition to the General Court for the grant of a plantation, 1 Oct 1645 (Nathaniel B. Shurtleff, ed, RECORDS OF THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE MASSACHUSETTS BAY, 5 vols.[Boston, 1853-54], 2:128-29 [FHL #974.4 N2s]). Also see land grant of 40 acres at Mt. Wollaston (Braintree) to Henry Adams, 24 Feb 1639/40, showing the family consisted of "10 heads." With Jonathan still in England, as shown by Aspinwall's notorial records, Henry would be required to make the "10 heads" (BOSTON RECORDS, 1634-1606, AND THE BOOK OF POSSESSIONS, 2nd Report Boston Record Commissioners [Boston, 1881], 2:49 [FHL #974.461 H2b]), and ASPINWALL NOTARIAL RECORDS, 1644-1651, 32nd Report Boston Record Commissioners, [Boston, 1903], 267 [FHL #974.461H2b]). The Henry Adams family was known to reside in the parish of Barton St. David, and it is presumed that his son Henry was born there about 1610.
