However, Francis is identified in the will of his father, Bennet Eliot of Nazeing, 5 Nov 1621, proved 28 Mar 1622, Commissary Court of the Bishop of London (Essex & Herts Div), reg wills 24:85 (FHL #094106).
MAR: No mar rec found. A wife Mary is mentioned in his will, below. Francis Eliot and his wife Mary had children born in 1643, 1650, and 1651 (Samuel A. Bates, ed, RECORDS OF THE TOWN OF BRAINTREE, 1640-1793 [Randolph, MA, 1886], 628, 633 [FHL #974.47/B3 N2b]). Agreement of the heirs of Martin Saunders of Braintree, 10 Oct 1658, shows that Francis Eliot received land in right of his wife (Suffolk Co. Probate, #192, [o.s.], 3:183-84 [FHL #584127]).
