- BIRTH: Maximillian is identified in the will of his father, Robert Moone of Weymouth, Melcombe Regis, 1 Sep 1578, proved 9 Nov 1581, P.C.C., 38 Darcy (FHL #091961). Maximillian is called second son of Robert in John Paul Rylands, ed, THE VISITATION OF THE COUNTY OF DORSET TAKEN IN THE YEAR 1623, Publications of the Harleian Society, Visitation Series, vol. 20 (London, 1885), 72 (FHL #942 B4h). He matriculated at St. Alban Hall, Oxford on 1 Dec 1581, age 16 (Joseph Foster, ALUMNI OXONIENSES, 4 vols. [Oxford, 1891-92], 3:1022 [FHL #942.57/O1 J2ox]). His i.p.m. states he was 24 yrs old on 1 Feb 1587/8, Chancery Inquisitions Post Mortem, series 2, vol. 330, no. 94, cited in G. Andrews Moriarty, "Genealogical Research in England- Mohun (or Moone)-Hyde," NEHGR, 81(1927):94 (FHL #974 B2ne).
MAR: Wife is identified in the 1623 Visitation of Dorsetshire, above. Mardate is from John Paul Rylands, ed, THE VISITATION OF THE COUNTY OF DORSET TAKEN IN THE YEAR 1623, 2 vols. (Westminster, 1863), 2:742 (FHL #Q942.33 H2hu).
DEATH: I.p.m. of Maximillian Moone of West Fleet, 19 Jan 1612/13, Chancery Inquisitions Post Mortem, series 2, vol. 330, no. 94 (Moriarty, "Genealogical Research," NEHGR, 81:93-94). His epitaph in Fleet church states that he died on 14 Oct 1612 (verbatim transcript in Hutchins, HISTORY AND ANTIQUITIES OF DORSET, 2:743).
