- BIRTH: Walter was living on 10 Feb 1577/8 when his father and sons appeared in the manor court rolls of Axminster, Devon. See G. Andrews Moriarty, "Mohun (Additions and Corrections)," NEHGR, 82(1928):67-68 (FHL #974 B2ne). Also see depositions in chancery suit, Symonds v. Moone, 19 Apr 1593, in which Walter is identified as the son of Richard Moone (Moriarty, "Genealogical Research in England - Mohun (or Moone)-Hyde," NEHGR, 81[1927]:180-85 [FHL #974 B2ne]; also John Hutchins, THE HISTORY AND ANTIQUITIES OF THE COUNTY OF DORSET, 2 vols.
