- BIRTH: John is identified in the parchment pedigree of Maxmillian Mohun, drawn in 1606, cited in G. Andrews Moriarty, "Mohun (Additions andvCorrections," NEHGR, 82(1928):67 (FHL #974 B2ne). Also see John Hutchins, THE HISTORY AND ANTIQUITIES OF THE COUNTY OF DORSET, 2 vols.(Westminster, 1863) 2:741 (FHL #Q942.33 H2hu). Hutchins indicates John of Ottery St. Mary is the father of Richard. Moriarty suggests that John is the son of Richard Mohun of Ottery St. Mary, citing "Court Rolls of Ottery St. Mary, m. 106d" (Moriarty, "Mohun," 82:67).
DEATH: Died after 14 Apr 1516, when John was surety for William Salter, Court Rolls of Ottery St. Mary, cited in Moriarty "Mohun," NEHGR, 82:67.
