MAR: No mar rec found. The diary of Joshua Hempstead of New London, entry for 5 Jan 1741/2, mentions a young, blind preacher from Boston named "Prince," whose mother was a daughter of Capt. Samuel Gilbert of New Salem. Only Mary could have been this daughter, as all other daughters of Samuel Gilbert are otherwise accounted for.
