  Notes	BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Samuel is identified in the will of his father, John Bissell of Windsor, 25 Sep 1673, proved 6 Dec 1677, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:184 (FHL #974.6 P2m). Date and place of birth are approximations. MAR #1: "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1637-1850," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1929; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 34 (FHL #002983). MAR #2: No mar rec found. A wife Mary is mentioned in Samuel's will, below. Her own will shows that she was mother of Simon Mills's children. See abstract from Hartford District Probate in Manwaring, DIGEST, 2:359. Simon Mills and Mary Buell were married at Windsor, 23 Feb 1659 ("Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths," Barbour Collection, 46). Hence, Mary Buell married (1) Simon Mills and (2) Samuel Bissell.
