- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Martha is identified in the will of her father, Richard Kimball of Ipswich, 5 Mar 1674/5, proved 28 Sep 1675 (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1916-20], 3:16-19 [FHL #974.45 P2p]). Martha's year of birth is calculated from age 5 on the passenger list of the ship "Elizabeth," 30 Apr 1634 (Peter Wilson Coldham, THE COMPLETE BOOK OF EMIGRANTS, 1607-1660 [Baltimore, 1987], 114-15 [FHL #973 W2col]).
MAR: No mar rec found. Joseph Fowler called Richard Kimball "father-in-law" in deed of 12 Jan 1650 (Ipswich Deeds, 1:89 [FHL #873018]). Joseph's wife was Martha as evidenced by court rec, 10 Oct 1651, "Martha, wife of Joseph Fowlar, fined for lying" (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 1:224 [FHL #974.45 P2e]). Hence, it appears that Martha, dau of Richard Kimball, married Joseph Fowler.
