The wife was called "widow" in E. B. Huntington, A GENEALOGICAL MEMOIR OF THE LO-LATHROP FAMILY (Ridgefield, CT, 1884), 41 (FHL #1012638 item 4). This seems possible, as her age calculated from her gravestone inscription at Barnstable makes her born about 1643 and married to Lothrop at age 55. No evidence of a former husband has been found, however.
DEATH: Death date is included in his inv of his estate. See the will of Barnabas Lothrop of Barnstable, 8 Jun 1713, proved 29 Nov 1715, inv 5 Jan 1715/6, Barnstable Co. Probate, 3:261-66 (FHL #904598).
BUR: Paul J. Bunnell, CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS OF THE TOWN OF BARNSTABLE (Bowie, MD, 1992), 283 (FHL #974.492/B1 V3b). Died on "26 Oct" 1715.
