- MAR: No mar rec found. She is called "Widow Anna Lothrop of Pastr Lothrop" in the 1683 membership list of Barnstable West Parish, 1:19 (FHL #0022364 item 5).

NOTE: It is frequently stated that Anna was the dau of William Hammond of Watertown because of the reference by Rev. John Lothrop to "Elizabeth Hammon my Sister...from the church at Watertowne..." ("Scituate and Barnstable Church Records," NEHGR, 9[1855]:280 [FHL #974 B2ne]). However, it is more likely that Lothrop called Elizabeth Hammond "sister" because she was married to his brother-in-law Samuel Howse. Furthermore, William Hammond's dau Anna was married to Timothy Hawkins of Watertown.
