- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Her identification as a dau of Godfrey Sheldon comes from the will of her husband Giles Roberts in which he calls William Sheldon "brother-in-law." Since William, a son of Godfrey Sheldon, married Rebecca Scadlock and not a dau of Giles Roberts, it is assumed that Giles Roberts married a sister of William Sheldon. See the will of Giles Roberts, 25 Jan 1666/7, proved 20 Jun 1667 (PROVINCE AND COURT RECORDS OF MAINE, 6 vols. [Portland, ME, 1928-75], 1:323-24 [FHL #974.1 P2p]). Her given name has not been discovered. Also see the will of Godfrey Sheldon of Scarborough, 13 Mar 1663/4, proved 3 Apr 1671 (PROVINCE AND COURT RECORDS OF MAINE, 2:423-24). The will mentions daughters but does not name them. Date and place of birth are approximations.
