MAR: No mar rec found. Rebecca was probably the wife of William Butter who posted a liability bond of 150 pounds with Samuel Snow, Jr, on 7 May 1694 for the settlement in Woburn of Mary, widow of Hugh Jones of Salem, and her younger children (Woburn Town Records, 4:26 [FHL #893878]). The Jones sisters, Rebecca and Abigail, are the right age to have been the wives of William Butter and Samuel Snow, who had wives of these names.
DEATH: No death rec found. Rebecca was living on 14 Apr 1746, when she petitioned the court for the probate of the will of her late husband, William Butter of Wilmington, Middlesex Co. Probate Files, 1st series, #3787 (FHL 396048).
