MAR: No mar rec found. She is called Thankful "Staples" in the estate distribution of her father, 28 Apr 1777. The estate file includes a receipt from Jacob Staples (Pomfret District Probate Files, #754 [FHL #1027080]). Thankful, wife of Jacob Staples, was admitted to the Brooklyn church on 17 May 1778 (Reg of 1st Trinitarian Congregational Church of Brooklyn, Conn., 1:260).
