Watertown,Middlesex,MA |
Gender |
Male |
Notes |
- BIRTH: No birth rec found. But he is almost certainly a son of Benjamin Crispe. No other Crispe family was living in the area. Zachariah was in the defence of Groton during King Philips War with Jonathan Crispe, aproved son of Benjamin Crispe (George M. Bodge, SOLDIERS IN KING PHILIP'S WAR [Boston, 1906; repr Baltimore, 1991], 300 [FHL #974 M2b]). Also note that Benjamin Crispe and George Lawrence, son-in-law of Benjamin Crispe, were bound on 9 Oct 1673 for the appearance of Zachariah Crispe in court to answer charges (Middlesex Co. Court Papers, fo. 67, #3 [FHL #901002]). Date and place of birth are approximations based on family history and chronology.
MAR: No mar rec found. Zachariah had a child out of wedlock with Mary Stanwood in 1673 (Middlesex Co. Court Papers, fo. 67, #3 [FHL #901002]). The rec shows that Mary Stanwood died unmarried shortly afterward.
~LDS ORDINANCES
BEPS: IGI. Zachariah was sealed to Mary Stanwood, although they were not married.
