MAR: No mar rec found. Children of Benoni Clough and his wife Hannah were born in Salisbury, 1694-1712 (VITAL RECORDS OF SALISBURY, 49-51). No proof has been found for the statement that his wife was Hannah Merrill, as published in THE GENEALOGY OF THE DESCENDANTS OF JOHN CLOUGH, 2 vols. (Littleton, NH, 1952, 1966), 1:53 (FHL #929.273 C625sp).
DEATH: No death rec found. Benoni was living in Salisbury as late as 2 Apr 1745, when he and son Jacob Clough sold land to Nathaniel Dole (Essex Co. Deeds, 114:207 [FHL #866066]).
