- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Sarah is identified in the will of her father, James Davis of Haverhill, 17 Mar 1675/6, proved 8 Apr 1679 (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1916-20], 3:375-79 [FHL #974.45 P2p]). Date and place of birth are approximations. It is unlikely that Sarah is identical to the Sarah, dau of James Davis, chr at Acton Turville, Gloucs, 24 Dec 1623, as she would have married at nearly 40 to a man 18 years younger than herself. It is highly probable that the 1st Sarah died young, and another Sarah was named in her place.
