  Notes	BIRTH: Undated chancery suit, apparently from early 1520s, alleges that Thomas Hilpe married Cicely, dau of Thomas Hickes, but was deprived of her rightful legacy by Thomas Hickes' widow Ellen (Chancery Proceedings, PRO C1/528/2 21531, by corr with James Butler-Sloss, London 1996). Date and place of birth are approximations. MAR #1: See discussion, above. MAR #2: Wife Cicely and her two Hilpe sons are mentioned in the will of Richard Hampden of Thornbury, 7 Jan 1550/1, proved 22 Jan 1551/2, P.C.C., 2 Powell (FHL #091926). DEATH: No death/bur rec found. Cicely was living on the date of Richard Hampden's will, above.
