MAR: No mar rec found. Polly S. Fales, wife of Oliver Fales was buried in Broad Brook Cemetery, 4 May 1864 (Vermont Vital Records, 1st series,-1870 [FHL #027543]). Oliver married "---- Vail," according to Henry Hobart Vail, POMFRET, VERMONT, 2 vols. (Boston, 1930), 2:487 (FHL #974.365/P2 H2v). She was probably a dau of Benjamin Vail of Pomfret, as the account of his estate, 19 May 1809, shows that Oliver Fales had a claim of $2.70 (Windsor Co. Probate, Hartford District, 3:600 [FHL #029160]). Hence, it appears that Oliver Fales married Polly S. Vail.
