- CHR: Fressingfield par reg (FHL #097127). The entry clearly shows the child as "Joseph"; however, he is called Joshua in the will of his brother, Cornelius Fisher of East Bergholt, Suffolk, 23 May 1638, proved 9 Dec 1641, P.C.C., Evelyn, 154 (FHL #092151). And he is called Joshua Fisher of Harleston [in par of Redenhall, Norfolk] in the will of another brother, John Fisher of Syleham, 28 Mar 1636, proved 30 Oct 1636, Consistory Court of Norwich, reg wills, 129:277 (FHL #166873).
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Joshua Fisher and wife Elizabeth had children baptized at Syleham, Suffolk and Redenhall, Norfolk beginning in 1619. The wife Elizabeth was buried in Redenhall, 11 Sep 1638. MAR #2: S. W. F. Aldwell, "A Short History of Syleham, its Manors and Church," appendix "Parish Register of Syleham, Suffolk" (typescript, 1936), 3 (FHL #991994 item 22). The wife's name is Anne "Orsor" in this transcript. However, the name is probably "Orfor." See Anderson, "English Records," TAG, 66:134.
