MAR: No mar rec found. She is called Martha "Buckingham" in the will of her brother, Cornelius Fisher of East Bergholt, 23 May 1638, proved 9 Dec 1641, P.C.C., Evelyn, 154 (FHL #092151). She is called the wife of John "Bokenham" of Syleham in Joseph L. Chester, ed, "Candler's Suffolk & Essex Pedigrees," ca 1655, 2 vols. (transcript, 1868-70; Norman Collection, Salford, Eng), 1:380 (FHL #Q942.6 D2c). Matthias Candler was a Puritan minister living in England and a relative of the Fishers. Martha was apparently unmarried as late as 28 Mar 1636, when she is called Mary "Fisher" in the will of her brother, John Fisher of Syleham, 28 Mar 1636, proved 30 Oct 1636, Consistory Court of Norwich, reg wills, 129:277 (FHL #166873).
