- BIRTH: Robert is identified as a son of Richard Fiske of Laxfield in Joseph L. Chester, ed, "Candler's Suffolk & Essex Pedigrees," ca 1655, 2 vols. (transcript, 1868-70; Norman Collection, Salford, Eng), 1:380-81 (FHL #Q942.6 D2c). Candler was a Puritan minister living in England and himself a 2nd great-grandson of Richard Fiske. Candler states: Robert "fled for religion in Q[ueen] Maries days." Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Johan, "wife of Robert Fiske," was buried at St. James, South Elmham, 3 Aug 1587 (G. S. Cary, ed, "Parish Register of St. James, South Elmham, Suffolk" [typescript, 1936], 75 [FHL #991974 item 29]).
MAR #2: Candler ms, 1:381. Wife is called widow of (----) Barbor.
