- BIRTH: George is identified as a son of Richard Fiske of Laxfield in Joseph L. Chester, ed, "Candler's Suffolk & Essex Pedigrees," ca 1655, 2 vols. (transcript, 1868-70; Norman Collection, Salford, Eng), 1:380-81 (FHL #Q942.6 D2c). Candler was a Puritan minister living in England and himself a 2nd great-grandson of Richard Fiske. Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR: No mar rec found. A wife Anne is mentioned in his own will, below. Furthermore, George Fiske is identified as a son-in-law in the will of Robert Dowsing of Laxfield, 12 Apr 1553-31 Aug 1553, Archdeaconry Court of Suffolk, reg wills, 16:570 (FHL #096916). Dowsing also mentions two children of George Fiske, suggesting the couple may have been married abt 4 yrs.
