- BIRTH: RECORDS OF THE FIRST CHURCH OF DORCHESTER IN NEW ENGLAND (Boston, 1891), 205 (FHL #856696). The birth is also recorded in DORCHESTER BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS, 21st Report Boston Record Commissioners (Boston, 1890), 37 (FHL #974.46/D1 V2r). However, the date of 30 Dec "1693" in the latter source is clearly an error in light of the births of the other children, the age of Josiah on his death rec, below, and the birth order given in the division of his father's estate.
