- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Barnham par regs for this period are lost, and only scattered BTs have survived. John is identified in the will of his father, William Bullard of Barnham, 16 May 1610, proved 18 Jun 1610, Archdeaconry Court of Sudbury, reg wills, 43:224 (FHL #097077). Date and place of birth are approximation.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Children of John Bullard and his wife Magdalene were baptized at Barnham St. Martin, Suffolk (1635-1636/7) and Dedham, Mass. (ca 1639-1648). For speculation that Magdalene is a dau of John Martyn of Barnham, see John Plummer, "The Martyn Wives of Robert and John Bullard," NEHGR, 146(1992): 279-80 (FHL #974 B2ne). She died at Medfield, 29 Nov 1661 (VITAL RECORDS OF MEDFIELD [Boston, MA, 1903], 198 [FHL #974.47M2 V2n]).
MAR #2: No mar rec found. However, John was married to Ellen, widow of Thomas Dickerman, by 26 Feb 1663/4, when they sold their interest in the estate of her late husband to Jacob Hewens (SUFFOLK DEEDS, 14 vols. [Boston, 1880-1906], 4:302-303 [FHL #974.46 R2s]). Ellen's maiden surname is unknown.
