- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. There is no proof that Samuel is the son of Robert and Mary Pond, but it seems very likely given the rarity of the surname Pond in New England and the fact that Samuel was an early inhabitant of Windsor, a town originally settled by Dorchester people. Robert and Mary Pond lived in Dorchester. Samuel's estimated age fits well with the children of Robert and Mary.
