DEATH: Ibid, 1:251. Although death rec calls John a son of John and Elizabeth, this seems to be a clerical error, as the death date falls between the date that John's will was executed and probated. See the will of John Towne of Topsfield, 25 Mar 1714, proved 3 May 1714, inv sworn 3 May 1714, Essex Co. Probate, (o.s.) 311:122-24 (FHL #875127). John and Elizabeth had a son John born on 23 Feb 1709[/10?], who is mentioned in the above will.
