Elizabeth, "wife of Jacob Perkins," testified in Essex County Court, 27 Mar 1655 (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 1:389 [FHL #974.45 P2e]). MAR #2: No mar rec found. Jacob's 2nd wife is identified as Damaris, widow of Nathaniel Robinson of Boston, in Walter Goodwin Davis, THE ANCESTRY OF DUDLEY WILDES (Portland, MA, 1959), 90 (FHL #929.273 W646d). No proof has yet been found, but circumstantial evidence suggests the accuarcy of this claim. Nathaniel Robinson of Boston died 25 Dec 1682 leaving a widow Damaris. See his adm/inv of estate, 8 Feb 1682/3, Suffolk Co. Probate, #1283, (o.s.) 9:129 (FHL #584129). A Damaris Perkins of Boston, "well stricken in years," made a will, 20 Jun 1713, proved, 11 Feb 1716/7, which mentions her Robinson children, including a dau Damaris who was then the wife of Ebenezer Dennis (Suffolk Co. Probate, #3714, [n.s.] 19:268 [FHL #594180]). Hence, Nathaniel Robinson's widow married a Perkins. On 13 Mar 1693/4 Jacob Perkins of Ipswich deeded land to two of his (Jacob's) sons in exchange for perpetual support for himself and an unnamed wife. Damaris Robinson, apparently the unmarried dau of Nathaniel and Damaris Robinson, was a witness to this agreement (Essex Co. Deeds, 9:271 [FHL #866018]). Jacob's mar to Damaris occurred after 1685, the year of his 1st wife's death. DEATH: No death rec found in original sources. Death date is from Davis, ANCESTRY OF DUDLEY WILDES, 90. This date is supported closely by the adm of estate of Jacob Perkins of Ipswich, 5 Feb 1699/1700, inv 9 Feb 1699/1700, Essex Co.
