    DEATH: Harvey M. Lawson, HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE DESCENDANTS OF CLEMENT CORBIN (Hartford, 1905), 38-39 (FHL #929.273 C811L). Aged 86 yrs.
    NOTE: Mary is called the dau of Isaac Fillebrown, chr at Charlestown, Mass., 6 May 1750, in Charles Bowdoin Fillebrown, GENEALOGY OF THE FILLEBROWN FAMILY (Boston, 1910), 15 (FHL #929.273 F483fc). However, it seems far more likely that Mary, wife of Clement Corbin, is the dau of Thomas and Mary (Payson) Fillebrown. After the death of Thomas Fillebrown in 1751, Mary married Timothy Foster and removed to Dudley and Oxford, Mass., which border Killingly, where Mary Fillebrown and Clement Corbin were married. On 6 Oct 1774 this couple named one of their children Henry Payson Corbin, apparently in honor of Mary's uncle Henry Payson, who died in 1771.

The birth is not recorded in vital recs of Dudley, Thompson, or Killingly. Betsey's death rec, below, also indicates she was born in Dudley, Mass. However, Aaron Foster was residing in Killingly on 6 Nov 1781 only one month before Betsey's birth, when he bought land in Sharon, Vermont (Sharon Deeds, 2:75 [FHL #028908]). Hence, Betsey was probably born in Killingly.
