| Bassett: Fire Hole Basin in Yellowstone Park in the early 1880's. This was the destination for the Bassett Bro. Stage Line bringing passengers from Beaver Canyon, Idaho, to Yellowstone Park. The river behind the trees is probably the Firehole River as it runs through the meadow at Firehole Basin.
The woman by the tent may be Marrette Cook Bassett. She was spending summers here at this time. It is probably the cook tent mentioned in the Bassett Bros. Stage Co. history. |
