Cook: Marrette Cook This picture has been in my family for decades. Over time the identity became confused. Only recently was it discovered that this is, indeed, a picture of Marrette Cook. Her name is written on the frame and her husbands name is written on the picture. We might assume that he had it painted around the time of their wedding. Hence, it was probably painted around 1876. The frame is probably original. It now hangs in Stephen Hansen's dining room.
